Hand Forged Knives by RWMack
RWMack hand forged knives, I hand forge all my knives at my shop, For each knife comes out with a different appearance. John got me started in Making hand forged knives, He tried to keep it basic with me, but I Ventured into Damascus, with trial and error, I get much satisfaction with what I make now.
My P.R. Man "John McGinnis" I've been Blacksmithing for about ten years. John encouraged me to make a Hand forged knife. He lives in Central Florida. His name is John McGinnis, He is very knowledgeable with steel and knife design. He has been a lot of help to me in this field. I enjoy making Damascus steel for Knife blades. I have built almost all my tools from Internet searching and books and attended a course withLarry Harley in Bristol, TN. . But hands on experience has been the best way for me to learn. My knives are hand made except for the drawing out of the Damascus steel which I do with my home built power hammer. Most of my Damascus knives are made of 1095, 15n20 steels, regular knives made of 5160 steel, Please take a brief tour of the Gallery it has a wide range of my tinkering around and some knives I have made, I make one of a kind knives all hand made or bench made. If you see a knife style you like I can make one similar, please allow 6 to 12 weeks or more for a special order, for I'm a busy one. John specializes in hand made, the Blacksmiths way, period replication knives, items, such as tent stakes, cooking tools, He is also into historic Argentina Gaucho's Etc.Check out the Gallery it has knives that I have made and a venture to one of Harley's hammerin.
